Last February 6, we welcomed the head of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, Alicia Bárcena, to our Tizayuca plant.
During this visit, we had the opportunity to showcase our Circular Economy model, Urban Forest™, which is a sustainability referent within the paper industry by prolonging unused paper and cardboard life to use it as raw matter in the making of our new 100% recycled paper products of the highest quality, without cutting trees and reducing our carbon emissions at the same time.
In addition, we highlighted our commitment to the responsible management of natural resources by optimizing its us on our industrial processes through the cogeneration of energy, thanks to Bio ENERGY, and the recycling of water used in our processes with the zero-effluents system.
At Bio Pappel we are convinced that the generation of shared value is the foundation for a greener future, that is why we also focused this visit in the progress and results of our strategic alliance with Tetra Pak, which allows us to take better advantage of waste by making its recycling more efficient.
This visit, without a doubt, strengthens the dialog that we constantly keep with the authorities and also motivate us to keep pushing sustainable practices that foster a recycling culture in Mexico and contribute to the economic development of the country, prioritizing environmental care for building a greener future.
